Sallu may turn author
Author: Amul Sharma and Tushar Joshi Date: 17 Jan 2008

The actor is keen on writing a book on
bodybuilding
Salman Khan seems to be stung by the writing bug. After turning a
scriptwriter with Veer, Salman now wants to write a book on fitness and
bodybuilding.
A source close to the actor spills, “Salman has been toying with the idea of
writing something on fitness for a long time. He often gets quizzed by fans
and people he meets about his exercise and fitness routine. And so he
decided to write the book.”
My journey
Salman has spoken about the book to a couple of his close friends. “He’s
still thinking about the exact nature and content of the book. He wants to
write a first person prologue on what got him into body building. In fact,
he plans to trace his journey from his skinny days in Maine Pyar Kiya to his
toned up body.”
Salman is reading books written by celebrities on the subject. Papa Salim
Khan is unaware of beta’s plans, “Salman hasn’t spoken to me about it as
yet.” About his absence by his son’s side at the unveiling of his wax statue
at Madame Tussauds he says, “I didn’t go because it’s very cold there and
travelling long distance becomes difficult for me. I saw it on TV.”
It’s temporary
Needless to say, he’s thrilled with the honour. “We do feel happy for Salman
and grateful to God, but we do not get excited by these small things; or
feel depressed by failures. Yeh bhi chala jayega. The good thing about bad
things is that they also come to an end. As Sam Goldwyn has said, 'Success
has destroyed more people than failures. We take everything in our stride,'"
said Salim.
