Apparently you had requested Salman to lower his rate, he didn’t and since then things didn’t work out between you two.

“Such a thing never happened. Salman and I have great respect for each other. I’ll never work with anyone who challenges my self-esteem. Salman, on the contrary, has a great heart and is like a child, one of the finest persons in the industry. In fact, I’m making ‘Mein Yuvraj’, a film set in 2008 in Europe, soon, with Salman, Zayed, and Anil Kapoor. It is a total entertainer with lots of music and humour.”
