Katrina Kaif turns cello player!

No, the gorgeous belle isn’t switching careers. She is just training for her role in Subhash Ghai’s movie ‘Main Yuvraj’.

Katrina Kaif , once labeled ‘the mute beauty’ (for not dubbing her dialogues), is now taking on roles that challenge her mettle as an actress. One such role is for Subhash Ghai ’s next directorial venture Main Yuvraj , starring Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor .

The film has Katrina playing a musician. To be precise, she plays the cello in the film.

Katrina doesn’t want to look fake in her role as the cello player, so she is learning the basics of the musical instrument, and, more importantly, how to hold it. There is a certain posture in which a cello player has to sit and hold the instrument and the bow. Katrina has reportedly learnt that from a musician in Mumbai.

Not just that, Kats has also learnt to play the theme melody of ‘Main Yuvraj’ on the cello. Now, she doesn’t have to feign before the camera, but can actually play the melody that features in the film.

Katrina has also rubbished the reports that she got the role in ‘Main Yuvraj’ because of Salman’s recommendation.

Besides this film, Katrina will also be seen in two comedies with Akshay Kumar – Welcome and Singh Is King . She is presently shooting for the latter in Australia..
